WHAT IS ARBORISM? HERE TIENES A POCO OF HISTORY

Years later, Francia and Nueva Zelanda adopted the idea of suspended bridges between trees and converted to Arborismo in a sports activity.
Since then, it has consolidated in many places and it is, without doubt, a notable activity for all ages.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY
The main objective of this sport is the progression through a circuit of bridges, at the level of the trees, of wood and steel cables, all with different degrees of difficulty.
We have unique points and difficulties to the little ones and big adventurers. only need concentration, balance and a little bit of courage!
THE BENEFITS OF THE PRACTICE OF ARBORISMO
This activity promotes fun and contact with nature but also confidence in oneself, coordination of movements, concentration and balance, key aspects of "overcoming obstacles".
OUR WAYS
Integrated in the trees of Parque Palmela, we have two Arborism courses, connected by platforms.
BLUE path
Adults and children from 5 years old (minimum height of 1.10 m)
Medium/low difficulty | Approximate duration: 30min.

ROJO Camino
Adults and children from 10 years (minimum height of 1.30 m)
difficulty medium/high | D uration Approximate: 1h.

Summer opening hours: 10:30 to 18:00
Winter hours: 10:30 to 16:00 (Cerrados al lunes y martes, except school holidays)
SECURITY
The activity begins with a brief training on safety standards, followed by a practical exercise, of an obligatory nature.
Security is guaranteed thanks to supervision of monitors and the use of adequate and certified security equipment (harnesses, carabiners and poles).
The paths of Arborismo fueron built in agreement with the European standards.
The activity is covered for the insurance required to agree with the licensing process based on "Dec.Law nº 108/2009".
With adverse weather conditions (rainy weather and strong wind and / or lightning) the activity will be cancelled.
In case of rain, the activity will be carried out, when the operation of the same with maximum security is guaranteed.
