Privacy policy

1. Data controller

The data controller is Pedaços de Aventura, established at Av. Marginal, Parque de Palmela, 2750 Cascais, Portugal.

2. Data collected and purposes

Contact form. The name, email address and message content are collected, together with the selected subject and the language in which the site was being consulted. This data is used solely to respond to the enquiry submitted.

Language preference. The language chosen by the user is recorded in a technical cookie in order to retain it on subsequent visits.

No analytics, profiling or behavioural advertising tools are used.

3. Legal basis

Processing of data collected through the form is based on the consent of the data subject, given by expressly confirming the declaration set out in the form, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time, without justification, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to that withdrawal.

4. Retention period

Messages received through the form are retained for a period of two years from the last communication exchanged with the data subject, after which they are deleted.

Deletion may be requested earlier and is carried out without undue delay.

5. Processors and recipients

Operation of the site involves the following entities, which process data on behalf of the controller and solely for the purposes indicated:

Resend — delivery of the email messages generated by the form.

Vercel — hosting of the site, including technical logging of requests to its servers.

FareHarbor — management of bookings and processing of payments. Booking and payment data is processed by that entity under its own privacy policy.

Data is not sold, assigned or otherwise transmitted to third parties for advertising purposes.

6. Third-party services embedded in the site

Google Maps. The “Visit” section displays a map provided by Google. Loading that map involves establishing a connection to Google's servers, which thereby obtain the user's IP address. The map is not loaded with the page, but only when that section is reached.

FareHarbor. Selecting the booking option opens FareHarbor's booking interface over the site, loading its software and potentially using cookies of its own.

7. Cookies

The site uses a single cookie of its own, named NEXT_LOCALE, intended to record the selected language. It has a duration of one year and does not permit identification of the user.

It may be deleted through the browser settings without prejudice to the operation of the site, which will resume automatic language detection.

No advertising or tracking cookies are used, which is why no cookie consent request is presented.

8. Rights of the data subject

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, the data subject has the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent previously given.

These rights may be exercised by writing to info@pedacosdeaventura.com; requests are answered within one month.

The data subject further has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).

9. Amendments to this policy

This policy may be updated, any amendment being reflected in the date shown at the beginning of the document. Previous versions are not retained; the version published at any given time applies.
